Guerilla gardening right on your doorstep - why not turn that patch of grass into a mini-urban farm that virtually looks after itself?

Welcome to Verge-vege-garden

Ever wanted a vege garden on your doorstep but couldn't find the room in your tiny inner-city yard-hanky? Well, why not colonise the verge? (And don't think this is purely a selfish act. Philosophically I am very keen on public edible landscapes - done well they can look great and really bring the concept of eating local right to your front door.)

We've recently created the beginnings of a community garden just around the corner, so I've thrown this community site together so that I could share progress, news on next plantings, what works and what doesn't. If you've something to share too about permaculture, community gardens, guerilla gardens or anything related - feel free to add a blog post, photo album or forum discussion. Happy verge gardening!
